Safety National Receives United Way’s Regional Award for Outstanding Volunteer Efforts

Safety National was awarded United Way’s Regional Award for recognition of the company’s outstanding volunteer service in the St. Louis metro area. The award was presented to Safety National at the United Way Volunteer Center Honors at America’s Center on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, where nearly 900 people gathered to honor volunteerism. Safety National was selected by a panel from over 100 submissions as one of three honorees receiving this year’s Regional award.

John Paino, chairman of Safety National’s community and philanthropy committee, accepted the award on behalf of the company. “We are extremely honored to receive this recognition from the United Way,” says Paino. “Corporate social responsibility is an important element of Safety National’s Core Values and our employees have been very gracious with their time and talents to help a number of organizations throughout the year.”

The United Way offered the following passage as part of Safety National’s recognition at the event, “Whether they’re building homes through Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles; hosting holiday parties for clients of Pathways to Independence; exercising and socializing service dogs for United Way partner Support Dogs; donating bikes to children’s charities; sending Girl Scout cookies to military families overseas and much more, the employees of Safety National put their hearts and souls into making our region (and the entire world!) a better place to live.”
