Safety National Introduces Safety First Grant Program

Today Safety National introduced the Safety First Grant Program. This dollar-for-dollar matching grant will reimburse one policyholder up to $10,000 for a creative solution designed to reduce the risk of employee injury and illness.

“As a safety advocate, we are very pleased to offer the Safety First Grant Program,” said David Snodgrass, Assistant Vice President – Risk Control Services at Safety National. “The grant can be a great way for our policyholders to supplement the expense of a creative solution that will help create a safer, more productive, work environment for their employees.”

The Safety First Grant Program is exclusively available to Safety National’s excess or large deductible workers’ compensation policyholders that are registered for at least one Safety National MAP Client Services online resource.

Safety National’s policyholders can nominate themselves on the Safety First Grant Program webpage during the June – August 2014 nomination period, where they must detail a risk-reducing solution that applies to lines of coverage insured by Safety National and include an estimate of injury cost savings that can be anticipated. Safety National’s Risk Control Committee will review all nominations submitted and select one finalist by October 2014.
