Safety National Expands Field Presence, Promotes Steve Cotnoir to Large Casualty Management Team

Safety National announced today that its Large Casualty group appointed Steve Cotnoir to the position of Vice President – Large Casualty. In his new role, Cotnoir will be responsible for leading Large Casualty field underwriting operations for several strategic regional office territories, including those handled out of the Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas regional offices.

Cotnoir joined Safety National in 2010, in conjunction with the opening of Safety National’s newly-established Atlanta regional office. Since joining the company, Cotnoir has heightened awareness of Safety National’s Large Casualty capabilities within the risk management community. In addition to maintaining his long-term broker and risk manager relationships, Cotnoir will also now be leading a team of Large Casualty underwriters tasked with establishing a broader presence across the country.

“Steve has established a national presence for Safety National and is well respected within the risk management community,” said Gus Aivaliotis, Senior Vice President of Large Casualty at Safety National. “His focus on finding creative customer solutions has attracted a number of national accounts to Safety National and his reputation with brokers has helped to establish Safety National’s Large Casualty offerings as top of market in many areas of the country. We are confident that he and his team of underwriters, focused on providing flexible customer solutions and best-in-class service, will position Safety National for continued success in the coming years.”

Prior to joining Safety National, Cotnoir held a number of increasingly-responsible underwriting and senior level management roles with several prominent national carriers.
