Responsibilities include providing client/customer support for the department’s responsibilities pertaining to DMV auto liability reporting (ALIR) which includes expedient resolution of state suspensions, cancellations, and other errors received as a result of this reporting. Position also requires the accurate, electronic submission of Post Proof of Coverage within the WCPOLS format for all transactions supporting our large casualty and guaranteed cost policies. Position requires working with clients, DMV personnel, Workers’ Compensation Bureau personnel and internal customers to provide timely submissions in support of state mandated reporting.

Position effectively uses judgment skills in addressing DMV/ALIR suspension/registration and Workers’ Compensation proof of coverage issues presented by our broker/insured clients.
Position effectively uses judgment skills in defining and requesting enhancements to our internal reporting systems. Performs trouble-shooting and analysis for technical problems in reporting applications used by PSA personnel including ALIR and Workers’ Compensation proof of coverage reporting.
Position is expected to work with a moderate degree of autonomy.
Responsible for the review, analysis and resolution of Workers’ Compensation policy criticisms to include the following:
Monitors changes in state POC reporting requirements and works with IT and Manager of PSA Data Reporting to implement changes within our Safety National WCPOLS POC reporting applications. Works with LC UW partners and our broker clients to obtain timely information to address criticisms related to FEINs, location discrepancies, ERM issues, and other criticism issues.
Process Workers’ Compensation policy endorsements.
Ensures POC reporting meets state mandated time constraints in order to avoid fines.
Follows up with PSA Policy Operations regarding status of policy completion.
Responsible for the review, analysis and resolution of DMV/ALIR issues to include the following:
Accurate and timely submission of account vehicle information to state DMV departments based on individual state requirements for commercial auto.
Monitors changes in state DMV vehicle reporting requirements and works with IT and Director of PSA to implement changes within our Safety National ALIR reporting applications.
Develops a knowledgebase related to state reporting requirements, and provides updates when changes in these requirements occur. Communicates new reporting field requirements to Large Casualty UW department for addition to their master vehicle upload template.
Works with LC UW partners and our broker clients to obtain timely updates to vehicle data, including new vehicles, vehicles out of service and vehicles changing garaging locations.
Provides guidance related to the method of communicating vehicle changes to the PSA Reporting team in order to timely execute these changes and eliminate vehicle suspensions.
Develop, and implement ALIR reporting changes. Impact of these changes and requirements are communicated to existing accounts as necessary.
Assist in the reconciliation of Large Casualty commercial auto policies on-going vehicle changes and offers suggestions/business process improvement solutions for the reconciliation process.
May be asked to provide end-user ALIR system training as needed, specifically related to any enhancements and upgrades in applications used for internal business process. Monitors slack to track and assist on any tickets with the ALIR development team.
Acts as a backup for workers’ compensation policy reporting staff in complying with the time parameters applicable to state Proof of Coverage for Workers Compensation. This includes new policies, renewal policies, cancellations, non-renewals, and reinstatements.
Reports all auto cancellations and non-renewals.

Bachelor’s degree or higher and 1 year experience OR
Associates degree and 3 years experience OR
5 years experience and a professional designation to include: AIS, AINS, CPCU, etc.
Insurance designation(s) or attainment of designation clearly underway with a target date for completion to include: AIS, AINS, CLCS, CISR, ARM, CPCU, CIC.
Moderate level of experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
