Best Work Places
Safety National, the leading provider of excess workers’ compensation insurance in the United States, has been named one of the Best Places to Work in the insurance industry by Business Insurance magazine. The winners were announced in the Oct. 19 issue (www.BusinessInsurance.com/bestplaces).

The awards recognize 33 agents, brokers and insurance companies for leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisors, and training and development. Winners were determined in a two-part process that involved a submission from the company and an employee survey. Employee input accounted for 75 percent of the assessment. Safety National won second place in the medium-size insurers category.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by such a well-respected industry publication as a Best Place to Work,” said Mark Wilhelm, president of Safety National. “It’s very telling that our employees put us on this list as they define our company and what it represents.”

According to Business Insurance, Safety National was selected as a winner because “Safety National creates a professional, relaxed culture and hires great people who are treated as individuals, collaborate as a team, given the opportunity to excel, and rarely choose to leave.”
